In January 2010, Voortman has refurbished the new building of ThyssenKrupp Elevators Company in Capelle aan de IJssel together with PLAN@OFFICE. PLAN@OFFICE was responsible for the interior design and realization of the project and has delivered this turn-key.
Hi Tee desks were chosen for the workplaces together with matching pedestals.

Because the Thyssen organization promotes the use of flexible workplaces, an optimal provision of electricity and data is important for every work unit. Therefore, the desk tables are provided with a cable lid which, combined with conduit tilting provides a neat solution for hiding the cables.

In the design, PLAN@OFFICE Project furnishing has provided an open structure by the frequent use of glass partitions, and much attention has been paid to sound absorbing provisions. The Sound and Vision acoustic sliding door cabinets were put in for archiving files. The cabinets were placed in glass partitions and provided with a wooden top in the color of the desk surfaces.
